issues ithe tellnet port 110 -- postfix server

hi all I am configuring postfix with mysql and postfix admin , i have creating a directory stucture to store all the domain name and user names ( eg :- /home/vmail/domain.com/user1/Maildir ) , but the thing is when i am creating the domain through postfixadmin it is only it is only creating it in the database. It dose'nt creat a actual physical location in the harddisk. Also when i am telneting to port 110 frm localhost I get the3 following error [root@server3 postfixadmin]# telnet localhost 110 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1). Escape character is '^]'. +OK Hello there. user agnello(a)quali.co.in +OK Password required. pass agnello -ERR chdir quali.co.in/agnello/ failed Connection closed by foreign host. Trivial Graphics programming using Svgalib and C (GCC)

List, I have created a How-to for using the Svgalib with C. Svgalib is a graphic library (low-level) that offers basic functions for graphics programming. In the past, I was trying to find out an alternative to writing C programs for graphics under any distribution. Under Windows, I used the Turbo C++ 3.0 compiler (IDE) using the graphics.h file which provided ample of functions for trivial graphics programming. When I discovered Svgalib, I found that I could do /almost/ everything that I did in Windows. Sci. / IT ) students on this list, you could get started with graphics programming using this how-to. This how-to requires a How-to to get started with GCC as well. I am cc'ing the Goa LUG and the Bangalore LUG on this note, but any LUG that wants to be part of the campaign can happily join in. It would also bring about something that has been sorely missing all this time - the Indian LUGs working with each other. Note that this wouldn't be a FOSS.IN-coordinated thing, but an initiative by the LUGs. The meetings would be the normal LUG meets, just with a topic of getting people upto speed on FOSS matters. The "Get ready for FOSS.IN" theme would simply help focus the efforts and provide a goal for people who will want to attend the event in December. Even if they don't actually attend the event, they will have benefitted tremendously from the acquired basics. Pointmen for this would be the LUG coordinators, NRC-FOSS people (Dr.Srinivasan), community communicators (Fred Noronha) and of course any community member who would want to contribute. People could even travel to other LUGs to make take sessions there. And of course FOSS.IN will provide the publicity it can to these efforts. RE:Grub error 17,cannot boot into Ubuntu

Hi all, I had installed openSUSE 10.2 on my system a few days ago.SUSE was installed on 2 primary partitions hda3 and hda4 having mount points / and /usr respectively.hda1 is my Windows C:\ and hda2 is an extended partition containing 4 partitions for Ubuntu for the following: / hda7 5GB /home hda8 11GB /boot hda5 141MB swap hda6 1GB and Windows D:\ hda9 10GB I had shared my Ubuntu home partition with SUSE taking care that the login ids of the users on the systems were different so that my files on both the systems were not embroiled in a web of conflicting permissions by the 2 OSs. Since I didn't like openSUSE too much,I removed it the only way I knew,ie by deleting the partitions through Disk Management on Windows XP. Since GRUB was broken too,I reinstalled GRUB through Ubuntu 7.04 Live CD and edited the Ubuntu fstab and GRUB's menu.lst to reflect the renumbered partitions(I'm assuming they were renumbered by the deletion of the hda3 and hda4 partitions,that's what I can make out from the Live CD fdisk –l). Since then, Grub shows me error 17 and tells me it "Cannot mount the selected partition".I have gone through the Gentoo forums threads regarding this atleast 5 times and they couldn't help me. Also,I tried removing the UUIDs and replacing them with the partition numbers for the root field of the initrd row(of course after backing up).No go! I also tried successively replacing the root (hd0,X) with all the Linux partition numbers.Didn't work out.Since my root partition contains symlinks to the kernel,Grub showed me error 17 for that too but for the other partitions,it showed me error 15(File not found).Can someone help with this? Regards, Easwar PS:What's surprising is that Grub can boot windows but can't mount the partition it itself is on!Right now,my menu.lst contains the UUIDs and has root (hd0,4) which is my /boot partition(ext2,others are all ext3).
