I compiled the 2.6 kernel, (patched 2.5.74). The >kernel boots fine but modules are unable to load. It gives the error:
QM_MODULE function not implemented.
Use the newer modutils available in the developer "Rusty"'s directory on ftp.kernel.org
Ur gnome problem should also resolve by the same as probably the acpi / agpart module doesn't load properly.
