Hi I have a old PC Celeron 500 64mb RAM 40g HDD and 1.44mbFDD It is a IBM PC. I want to try other distros like Knoppix and Gentoo and they have ISO
images
or live Cds What alternatives do I have in such case and how do i go about it
Even i had same problems with my pc.i tried every thing from network install to boot floppy's,but best solution i upgraded my pc bios with the latest bios from http://www.driverguide.com/
If u want you can search for your pc bios on driverguide.com with username : drivers and password : all.My problem is solved now i have most recent bios which supports network booting, scsi booting, flash drive booting etc.
