Afaik linux >2.4 wont compile on RH6.2. gcc is too old, besides modutils, ncurses etc. get newer distro like debian sarge. If u are a newbie and not tech savvy use ubuntu or knoppix.
preinstalled with kernel 2.2.0.i tried searching for a good howto with all the possible mishaps listed, but couldn't find one,
should be on your machine in /usr/share/doc.
