hello rony, jtd mehul and all other friends. I tried to install debian from 3.1 rc 2. the problem is that I want to select 2.6 kernel and also want to get the menu for selecting the packages I want to install.
When you boot from the CDROM and get the cdrom welcome menu with `boot:' prompt, then type `linux26' to install using linux 2.6 kernel.
boot: linux26 <ENTER>
As for selecting packages, you can press ESC in debian-installer and go to the menu and locate the option for selecting individual packages for installation.
