Hi, I have gaim 1.5.0 on a Mandriva 10.1/kernel 2.6.8/x86 box. I also have IndLinux-Hindi-0.9 (Unnati) installed.
Following the instructions in this page: http://freedomink.org/node/55 I now have Gaim in Hindi, but I can't seem to revert back to normal English Gaim. Not that it's bad but some of the hindi translations for the menus use vocabulary for which I have to refer to a dictionary.
The only way I was able to get English Gaim was by (re)moving the file /usr/share/locale/hi/LC_MESSAGES/gaim.mo Without this file gaim loads with english menus.
Is there a way to switch between hindi and english gaim using command line variables? I have also tried setting the locale environment variables to en_US.UTF-8 but still gaim loads with hindi menus.
I would appreciate if anyone could suggest a solution. Thank you, Salil Wadhavkar.
