Hy everybody, this is my first mail to linuxers. I want to know about ICS Internet Connection sharig in Linux. Is any body has a solution, document , plz tell me .
There are two main options:
1. use a proxy server such as Squid (comes as a part of almost every distro). The advantage of Squid is that it is also a caching proxy, so that it will store recently accessed pages in its local cache, making retrieval a local affair.
2. Network Address Translation (NAT) using ipchains/ iptables and combined with masquerading. Check out the networking and ipchains, iptables and ip masq howtos on http://linuxdoc.org.
