hello rony, jtd mehul and all other friends. I tried to install debian from 3.1 rc 2. the problem is that I want to select 2.6 kernel and also want to get the menu for selecting the packages I want to install. the main problem is that I can either select the kernel or with debconf-priority=medium, get the menu.

Hi,
First of all, Learn to use thing called - paragraph! and key - 'enter'
1. You can select kernel 2.6 by entering linux26. Debconf will ask you to set the priority low, medium or high. You can also set it later by,
#dpkg-reconfigure debconf
2. First 3 CDs are enough for normal server setup. I have some Debian DVDs are lying with me, but it is of 3.1 (not rc2). You can contact me offline for that.
