I am using Redhat 9 and at the time of booting it displays Mounting local file systems and other filesystems are failed. The correct message is, "Mounting local filesystems: mount: wrong filesystem type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0 or too many mounted file systems. .... Mounting other filesystem: floppy0: probe failed floppy0: probe failed .............................. end_request I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0 vfat-fs: Unable to read superblock mount: wrong filesystem type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0 or too many mounted file systems."
i couldnt find the error i wil be pleased if someone helps me in this.
The log says that its trying to mount a floppy at boot time . I am wondering why you need a floppy at boot up . Try removing the floppy in the drive and boot up . Also if you need to access the floppy do it once the machine is up and running . On another note I think that the floppy is bad . Try using another floppy .
