For hands on training, a lab consisting of 20 computers, each with a CDROM drive, will be available. Other labs are also So Knoppix cannot be used for the hands-on progamming sessions in these other labs.
20 comps will be less then optimal for hand-on for more then 100 participants.
Even though ur computers don't have CDROM drives, there are other ways to boot GNU/Linux on them. These comps can be made to boot GNU/Linux without disturbing ur existing OS.
Pls send me the contact info of your Principle/HOD, with name, tel. # and prefered time to call, before the workshop.
The people who have confirmed their presence for the workshop are Dinesh Shah, Harsh Busa, Trevor Warren, Dr. Nagarjuna and Warren Brian Noronha. More speakers are needed. Please come forward.Veterans, newcomers . .
The topics finaly posted by Harsh does not mension the topic I am suppose to take. So I am interested to know which topic(s) I am going to take to make myself and my presentation ready.
Pls finalise each topic with name of speaker and schedule the topics, so speakers can finalise their scedule.
Also we were expecting you and Harsh in the last GLUG meet to hammer our many details. But unfortunately none of you seen it fit to attend the meet and finalise the details.
I think you are not left with much time, so you have to act fast and put things in place ASAP.
