All LUGs are welcome - they are among the target groups :-D . We do want a pan-Indian effort where projects like AVSAP and Antidialer can be presented to everyone. Even your college can be represented by, say your student body or something. Please register at the wiki and put your ideas and recommendations on record.

The brainstorming did begin with a rant about the lack of an Indian download mirror for SF.net, somewhat along the lines of the JAIST download mirror. It then veered off towards providing a platform for students - India (and student) specific software being mirrored on an Indian "Sourceforge".
We are also having ours. :(
Right now, the project doesn't even have a name! So there's no hurry. Just keep it in mind and come on board when you have the time.
