Currently running on the Bena kernel - 2.6.35.7-bena-a2p3, so i guess it's
for android 2.3, hacked on with 3.0 userspace on top. Cant seem to find any reference to ppp in the dmesg output, but a couple of invocations to pppd seen to run without errors.
Also, ppp inside pptp vpn connections worked fine, so i'm guessing i have fully functional ppp stack.
Another way to check is if /etc/ppp has the chat scripts etc. and if the kernel throws up errors when you try to run the dialer. Seems this is OK in your case.
So, right now, i'm working on writing the correct chat script for reliance, but have not had the time to really sit on it.
Please let us know if you succeed. It would be very helpful.
The touchscreen is really bad, and camers+g-sensor are inoperative, but other than that, honeycomb is mighty stable on this, with almost no crashes or FC's, and even the market works great(though it's the gingerbread market, still looking for the honeycomb apk's).
This continues to be interesting. If you get more information on the hardware used, you could join the tabletroms site and start a thread for your generic model. Also check XDA, if you haven't yet.
