Kernel panic:no init found. try passing init=option to
kernel Kernel panic: :VFS:unable to mount rootfs on hda5.
Had you changed the hard disk from Primary to Secondary or vice versa? Or from Master to Slave or vice versa? If so, change it to the state when you installed Linux. This may solve the problem.
