The error it gives is "modprobe Cant locate char-major-200 module"
char-200-major is associated with all the devices under >directory /dev/vx
What I understand is the directories in which MODEPROBE is trying to locate the required module do not have char-major-200 module.
You will have to copy (char-major-200 module) in one of those directories.
Modprobe is "SOMETHING" which resolves interdepencies. Eg. If you want to load Module A which in turn depends on Module B. Then in order to load Module A what is required is to load Module B first. By using MODPROBE you could load Module A directly and the interdepency is resolved by MODEPROBE.
