am I reading this correctly? Did you just write 2.2 kernel? Did you mean 2.6.x kernel?
Yes. That's correct: kernel 2.2 but I've compiled a 2.4.31 and 2.6.15 kernels but I still have the same problem.
I read that Xfree86 somehow disables screen switching. I don't know if that's correct. Someone else recommended running X.org. I'll probably do that.
