Haha.Even when I (have used linux for past few years) sit on a windows machine and use dos cmd i use "ls" instead of "dir"

Thats true for me too. My linux class insists on command line only and when I recently wanted to transfer files in dos mode in a customer's machine, I was struggling to remember the dos commands.
