Hi,
can anyone recomend linux compatible hardware for reading in the output from a vcr. Also suitable software for manipulating the same
I think you would need to buy TV Tuner card, since it allows you to read VCR output and record it on your PC. Check if this URL http://www.livejournal.com/community/linux/861432.html provides some help.
I have bought INTEX TV Tuner card which is BT878 based. And I am running Suse distro on my machine. Unfortunately INTEX folks don't provide drivers for Linux distros and I am not yet able to get Cable TV relay when running on linux.
