I can't seem to get it to detect my pcmica
ethernet card.
What card is it? What does your `cardctl status`
show? Is
yenta_socket module loaded ?
I am using a 3com Megahertz 574B card. It works.
What info does your
FC2 give about the card ?
Its a NetGear FA411 pcmcia ethernet card. Worked perfectly till I changed the harddisk. I had a debian testing/unstable install on this same machine with the older hdd. In fact it works w/ both FC2 as well as Knoppix 3.4. With FC2 I had to fiddle with the initscripts in /etc/rc5.d/ .
The problem is that both pcnet_cs as well as 8390 (used by knoppix) are loaded, so is yenta_socket. I keep getting the error saying network not reachable. I just can't get the network configured during the install. No sweat, I will crack it after the 20th. Very busy till then.
Sharukh.
