resoluton. Also Caldera has given me proper resoluton.
This means that you should get good resolution irrespective of the distro you use. You should have saved the XF86config file when removing Caldera. I had a similar problem with my Trident card. But when I
I thought, I'm the only person having this type of problem.
installed Caldera once (just for experimenting different distros), it set me up with excellent settings as far as X was concerned. So, I saved the XF86config file and used it when I installed Red Hat later.
Hay! Thanks. I was not knowing this idea. I will defenately do this next time.
Can you post your "ModeLine" from your XF86config file ?
There are many modelines defiend & I don't know which one to send so I'm sending the whole XF86Config file as an attachment removing unwanted part to reduce the size of attachment.
Thanks & Worm Regards, SAMEER :)
P.S. One more thing, When I configured my monitor resolution in Caldera I found the resolution is proper with these two settings. Resolutin : 1024x768 800x600 Refresh Rate : 60Hz 60Hz Hori.Sync : 48.4KHz 37.8KHz Mode Clk : 65MHz 40MHz
Hope this may help you to locate the problem.
