Bad practice to post your query to multiple mailing lists. You already posted this in Madurai GNU/Linux mailing list.
why is that? cross-posting is bad, I agree. But waiting for the first mailing list to timeout (complete thread of messages on the topic) before approaching another mailing list doesn't seem necessary to me. Let the poster post the messages seperately and keep track of them too.
To extend your argument, you shouldn't be subscribed to multiple mailing lists, then.
