Sometime on March 9, pramila assembled some asciibets to say:
facing problem while booting RH9, system hangs after message Configuring Kernel Parameters [OK] just after installation on RH 9
I had the same problem. But whenever I changed the date/time in CMOS settings, I could boot the system. But next day same problem comes again. I don't know the exact cause but think that something is wrong in the script "rc.sysinit" which is used to set clock. System just hangs at the point while setting clock.
