At the meet we had a short talk about the grub bootloader of ur laptop.... and ways to get to the grub console ...
I found one ( I hope ..)
just press ESC key , when the grub screen appears
IT would hopefully ask whether to exit the graphics mode and move to text mode..
Say yes and
Their U arrive at a familiar much home like GRub Black and white screen with all keys like 'p', 'c' etc working as expected...
Try it out and let me know...
