Its a request to the entire list, let us stop flaming new people or students for that matter.
Firstly any project requires lotsa background work. The poster provides a synopsis and tentative conclusions from the background work. Eg. recent post by Dinesh Shah on the identity project. there was ample info in the first mail itself. If the mail does not contain these in good measure the poster is sitting on his ass and expecting others to do work for him. He really needs some flame throwing. In this case the poster did some very minimal work. There was a lot more that he should have done before posting. The flames will convey the message. I also find it very strange that newbies find everything on google except linux howtos. It is not as though they are newbies to pcs and the net is it. And the more they have used pcs the more they think that they are doing the world a favour by switching.
