That flash thingy did not work on my Nokia E71, the devil's spawn. Flash is supported, by the way.
Try installing Opera mini with flash support. What result do you get? Simply go to www.opera.com in your E71 and select the download link for mini. It will select the appropriate version for your phone.
The phone does have addon software for internet radio stations that work without much problem. I use it with my home wifi or while traveling, at some airports. There should be a standard for net radio that is accessible to mobile devices as well.
