Hey SB,
redhat, I would have boycotted them for life and would make all out efforts to have them kicked out of all my client sites.
[snip]
Would that really hury em...:D. It would surely serve to only hurt ur customers since RH is the most easily service distro anywhere in our own country...unfortunately(How we all wish we could apt-get with ease on RH).
I work with microsoft who are the most commercial of all companies, also holds many senimars which we attend. Believe me, they will never do something like this. Neither do oracle or ibm whose seminars we attend.
[snip]
Hehe.....hmmm. Sleeping with the enemy eh...:D.
Every company gives high values, respect and respect to consultants and advisors because clients will not iuse their products if not recommended by the consultants.
I do not know who else they turned back that day, but it will cost them dearly.
[snip]
To forgive is divine and to err is human. But yes, this sure speaks of RH's attitude which has always been so. After all they don't care too hoots for FSF-OS as long as they can fatten thier bottom lines. And that for a fact.

Morning YS,
With respect to commercial organisations.....yes
we
do have different schools of thought and some of
them
decide to preach OpenSource vis-a-viv Free Software since it helps them make a buck or two. Their
making
$$$ through healthy business practices is essential for the economic fabric of OS-FSF to prosper. You
may
not agree with me on some of my concerns and that fine.
Yes, you did get shoved by them but this is more
of
a logistical issue that i am sure they would
regret.
Essentially.......as any other organisation in this world they are commercial minded, i have learnt
that
the hard way too. So like everyone else....you too
are
expendable. I can assure you of the same....the guy there will offer you a red carpet to get his/her
image
or job done and chuck you out when they don't need
you
any longer.
They all are be the same..........cause $$$$
come
before your and my passion for FSF-OS. Try not to
mix
them up in your mind cause i did that sometime ago
and
i suffered at their hands. I also learnt the hard
way
that passion always doesn't pay, it can also back fire.
A kind suggestion would be to stay away from
anyone
pple like RH-SuSE Novell if you feel that commercialisation of OS-FSF hurts you. Cause at the bottom of it.....he wants to make more money, he
wants
to be bigger, he wants his bottom line to grow, he wants to be the only one to feed Gnu-Linux to Enterprises world wide.......!! In a capitalist society like ours, you can't call that a crime right..????.
