I would like to set up

server per remote location
so it would not choke the wan link
Mailertables routing the mail through uucp or VSAT lines should do the trick.
The rest of that - give each subdomain its own MX record.
Have each subdomain know aliases in all other subdomains (say using LDAP or
MySQL to store your userdb and broadcast it)
