Hi folks,
ASCI (Agile Software Community of India) is organizing a conference on Agile methodologies in Mumabi. The details of the conference can be found at ASCI's website http://202.53.78.202/agile2005/agilemumbai/index.htm.
I understand that this is a methodology conference and not a technology conference. But I think it would be helpful to the Linux hackers for the following reasons: 1. Agile and Open Source share the same philosophy 2. Techniques like short releases, code ownership, collaboration across team, developers writing unit tests, etc are quite similar to what happens in the Open Source world. 3. There are few other techniques like continuous integration, automation, pair programming, etc that could be very useful in the Open Source context.
ASCI was started back at the beginning of this year to promote Agile methodologies in India. Since then we have organized two conferences, in Bangalore and in Goa. Mumbai is the third conference and the next one is planned to be held in Pune next month.
We are seeking support from all Agile (and non-Agile) enthusiasts in making this conference a success. We have a fantastic line up of speakers from various organizations that practice Agile. Please do sign up for the event and help make it a success. We are also looking for more speakers to talk about their experiences in using Agile.
