I would recommend Debian or Fedora. Fedora has a lot of hardware support. I see hardware not working on Debian, working fine on Fedora. But its upto you. Use whatever distro works for you best. If you're a developer/end user I would suggest Mandrake / Fedora. If you are a developer and like setting up servers I would suggest Debian / Gentoo.
