Hi Group, I'm tyring to build my own distribution of Linux with Custom packages selected from GNU sites. Please help me as i am doing this for the forst time.

I don't know how to do this with with gnu packages but I ve done this once using debian distribution.

Try the following link. This is based on knoppix and is quite easy to customise.

You can also look at www.morphix.org. Essentially knoppix with some additional features thrown in.

Also If you want to start from a minimal GNU/Linux installation and build on top of it then take a look at www.damnsmalllinux.org. This could be a good point to start with.

All the three above are based on Debian distribution.
