Hi,
Has anybody here tried getting Ncomputing L230 thin client to work with Ubuntu LTS? Though the Ncomputing website claims support for Ubuntu, and also provides a guide on configuring it, I have just not been able to get the thin client to connect to it. There are a number of guides floating around with slight variations, but none of them have worked for me so far.
I had tried circa 2009/2010 similar experience and did not get much lift from NComputing.
You can build your own thin client (kind of) by installing a minimalist desktop on a 4GB pen drive and use it as boot disk with Atom based boards. 'remmina' is a versatile client that can connect to remote desktop servers (rdp, xdmcp, nx etc.). I have been using this kind of setup for about 2 years now and very happy with it.
