Hi All
This is to inform you all of the establishment of an Internet root server cluster in India. This is an important step forward not only for the country of India, but the Internet as a whole, as it will improve the accessibility, availability, security and speed of the Internet Domain Name System (including .IN and .INFO) within India and the region.
It really doesn't matter all that much. 97.5% of the root DNS traffic is bogus domains. Most DNS servers have the roots cached anyway.
Also, the only benefit an end user will get is if their ISP is peered at NIXI.
BTW, who was this a press release for? Affilias? NIXI? GoI?
