Hi,
What I am trying to tell you , is that if you just perform a plain
installation of Fedora Core 3 OR RedHat 9 without configuring any
services
Then monitor the memory usage , you will find that your memory is just utilized without starting any services . This is bad because if you want to insatll this as a server for Oracle / Weblogic / Mail / Postgresql Or any services the application cannot be used for production. Plz Help To solve this issue Regards Ryan Coelho
In top, which top 5 processes are taking up memory. I have no issue to run DB2 with buffer pool of 1 GB on RH9. In my opinion just go ahead and install whatever you want to and then look at memory utilisation. -Krishna
