don't understand all this tech stuff. I just want to uininstall the pppoe client that comes pre-installed with mandrake 10 so I can install something else. both are not compatible.
actually, i think this mandrake 10 sucks. does anyone know of any linux app which is really similar to windows?

what do you mean uninstall files ?
was it a rpm package ? if so, did you install it using urpmi or just rpm -ivh <filename>.rpm ? If so - simply urpme or rpm -e
if it is a source tar.gz file, and you ran ./configure and make install as root, without giving any prefix, then simply run configure again to find out the default install directories. just delete those files and you should be fine.

I just downloaded in2net_linux-1.1-1.i386 software from Rohit B's website kiraninfotech to access pacenet. now I have uninstall the existing pppoe client to get the new program going. how to do this?

the engg was not aware about linux support but said they are using all standard and latest stuff ...
