location. Knowing your coords 31.62004 74.87638 does not really tell you that u are at the golden temple Amritsar.
Are there any public map server which translate co-ordinate to location / map for Indian Region?
google maps? or google earth?
No maps. Only satellite imagery. you can go about this in a reverse way. Browse to a known location on google maps and then extract the coords. Eg
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=19.196101,72.987344&ie=U... will show u Shivaji chowk kalwa.
So using a combo of google and local knowledge you can create a fairly decent map.
Again the idiots who are responsible for running this country have masked out many areas because of security. so u cant see these locations in India. But sitting in hamburg u can see everything. God these dolts need a dummies guide to info on the internet. Also they have missed many areas by miles, keeping exposed the actual area to be secured and covering up highways and villages. Looks like they use their arms to survey.
