A couple of years back I had evaluated a few groupware apps. and had concluded that egroupware was the most feature rich and flexible. The client lost interest and it was not deployed.
IMO, setting it up just right requires planning and co-oridination between the end user management as the IT service provider and also end user training with hands on experience.
While evaluating ebox, I noticed it bundles egroupware. I have not done any comprehensive egroupware re-eval but on surface it looks more polished that it's previous version.
