I second this.. this is what I did. Later I put both my drives in my new machine and shared the older CDROM which the old box can use for reading media. This is one thing I managed to set up. Gishu

remove the cddrive from your new pc, put it in the old one, install. After installation and networking you can always access the cd drive over the network
