1. Have they decided or they are in the process of vendor selection , is

there a Tender or RFP on this proposal.

they have not decided yet. We are trying to get them to decide. We are trying t o get more details about where the process stands currently.

2. Is this news item some sort of arm twisting exercise by Govt to get a

better deal from M$ , folks on the ground will know about whats happenign any clues anybody .

Dont think so. They seem to be genuinely interested in FOSS.

3. What kind of support you expect from the community , are these folks who

will be working on a campaign for some Vendors be getting paid by Vendor or will they be Hired in some way at a later stage, since this one looks like a long term project if at all it happens.

we are not looking at anybody getting paid for the support on the campaign :-)
