This is Indian GNU/Linux User Group, Mumbai. If we had named it as a Linux User Group, I guess, RMS wouldn't have accepted an offer to give a public lecture. That's what I read from one page on gnu.org
Indian Linux Users Group Mumbai (ILUG), being a chapter of Indian Linux Users Group - ILUG. The GNU- slash part came later, I suspect without any discussion at all.
