Hey All , I was wondering if anyone managed to get the 7710's modem initialized with wvdial . I got the SE700i and the Nokia 6151 working . But the 7710 is different .
Dont know how u managed the other two. But fo a gprs connection u need to disable lcp keepalive packets. Otherwise it will time out after 4 lcp keepalive packets as the last line of the log dump shows.
jtd, I am not quite sure that lcp needs to be disabled . I have been using gprs for about a year and a half now and I have never played around with lcp . Also I don't think its got anything to do in my case .The movement BlueSoleil connects a DUN connection to the phone I get a modem activated icon on the phone . Maybe there is something explicitly telling the phone thats the connection is a DUN and thus it activates the Modem
