Have u chek that hacker will not do anything to your server, somehow the problem of hacking. please chek theeach and every log and alos process by givng command top. then see wich process is using to affeted the load.....

It downloads mail from our mail server and passes to local users .Outgoing mail has to be routed via ISP (sify's) SMTP server .
The whole thing runs on vmware server 2.0
When the mail server is on the the rest of the organization cannot access mail , the moment I turn off the VM image , all of us get the access.
All the computers are connected to net via a netgear router acting as gateway.
I tried http sniff and found huge amounts of data going through the server though no one seems to have sent anything..
How can I solve this ?
