I hear a lot of discussion about how the Linux GUI should be more user-friendly, and how all programs should have a good GUI, etc.
I have one need in a GUI: consistency!
But here's my main point: I see too many programs now that require X to be installed, when the program doesn't need X. Why? Why? Don't do that.
This has been a rant.
