Is there anyway we can emulate internet explorer on linux? (any distro?)
all you guys are missing the point - he doesnt want to use ie, he wants to emulate its behaviour, so he needs a tool which will tell him 'your page would look like this in ie'
thanks KG. Yes thats what I want to do. For all those familiar with front end development using CSS for part thereof, you'll know what I mean. The combinations are endless. Low-res, high-res, firefox old version, firefox new version, firefox on Windows, on Linux, IE various versions. Throw in a Safari and an Opera and you have more permutations. Behavior can never be truly predicted.
while I try and use Konqueror to test for Safari, (not ideal as Safari manages better than konqueror), there is nothing to test on IE other than having a windows machine. Would like to avoid that given the past history of troubles with windows systems. Where I can avoid it, I would like to.
