Hello All,
What is the concept of copy paste in linux as compared to windows? In windows I can save highlighted text or links in the clipboard and close the source program or editor. In linux, if the source program/editor is closed, it does not highlight the 'paste' option in the destination program or editor.
The X server maintains two clipboards: 1> The one where your selection gets copied. 2> One into which you can copy with Ctrl-C, and paste with Ctrl-P.
There is a whole bunch of technical stuff about it, but I don't recall it offhand.
