Hi all,
I checked with a local dealer who is authorised dealer (routed here through Sunil). The PC is indeed a Pentium Celeron 1.7 GHz/128MB/40GB, sans speakers/monitor.
The price of bare bone PC is Rs.9950. The taxes come up to around Rs.1500 and surprisingly the warrenty is charged Rs 2500 extra. I was expecting the warrenty included, atleast a carry in warrenty.
I would certainly like to know what would happen if any component goes bad or fails. would I be able to get it serviced from the ceoncerned company or eSys if its under 1 year period offerred by the company. or instead do I have to go out and repair/buy it on my own?
If I have to do everything on my own, I would be better buying components myself and get the warrenty advantage. Offcourse it would be a bit more pricy, but then I can choose my own optimised components.
The machine configuration is fine as long as the target population is concerned. This is a decent entry level pc in terms of performance. Those who want mahcine for day to day, less performance intensive work can surely go ahead for eSys.
