you know what instead of shouting at ppl charging 250 you must fight with companies like redhat, suse / novell etc. these coz simply put ISOs from site into cds and sell it to you for much higher premium. by your interpretation they do very little value addition too.
But as far as I know, they charge not for the software, but for the service and support they provide. That is why no individual buys from Redhat / Suse. Only corporates do because they need the service
