I am using Sify Broadband on Ubuntu. I have a package with a download

but I don't see how I can view my session details. I tried to search on google and came up with the following link, but unfortunately it is not working here.

Sify had changed its dialer protocol long back but thankfully, for some reason they have kept the old protocol just about functional to enable Linux users to login. Once they close down this protocol we will have to revert to their Linux dialer, which needs to be run as root.
I've been wanting to change the URLs atleast, but haven't found the time of late.
I just installed their client to find out what URLs it uses. I logged in and whoa! there goes the sify.com website launched automatically -- very annoying. Well, I found out what I was looking for. Here's the site that helps you check your session details. You've got to be online though. http://broadband.sify.net/bbandmum/mumcblogin
There's a problem though. If you just visit this page and login, you are automatically redirected to the getbalance page which is at least no good for my connection. But if you are running an instance of their client (sifyconnect), then it appropriately takes you to the sessiondetails page. Seems like we are stuck up with their client.

I have no idea what my SAM server is supposed to be, but after looking
into
my antidialerrc file I found out that 202.144.65.70 works but not in
the way
the above link describes.
You're right about the SAM server. It is 202.144.65.70. But the URLs have changed.
