I am using IBM NetVista PIV with 128MB/Intel 845 Mbd/8 MB Shared Video Memory and Redhat Linux 9. I always start in CUI and X was working good untill yesterday when I pressed Ctrl+Alt+F1 and invoked prompt. After that my X is not working for some reason. When I startx, it appears with blank screen and show my monitor (LG 17" 700S) frequency range box and comes right back to prompt.
If you can do it, just to rule it out, open your box and remove the RAM, clean it, blow air on the slot and put it back.
