What is offending in suggesting an alternative which is non-linux?
I dont see what real alternative (linux or non-linux) you provided... (? "stuff" ?)
As I see it, your remark spreads the myth that linux is complex, and is unsuitable or too sophisticated for normal person... A newbie user CAN feel totally snubbed, and unwelcome by such responses.. and just give up on Linux..
Linux is not an exclusive club with "only command-line users allowed, normal ppl need not apply" ... The future of Linux is dependent upon the growth of a community of users amongst us... who help each other.. ultimately this should help all of us.. (maybe, if we get enough critical mass, ISP's, IE only websites, and device manufacturers would actually start caring about us!! :-) )
ANYWAYS, can we move on from this to the real question being asked please.. pasting again...
Hello, Linux has excellent bandwidth management subsystem. Is there any front hand available other than wonder shaper to mange bandwidth? Learning Learning tc is bit too steep.
Maybe you should switch to non-linux stuff then? Command line is king though - irrespective.
