Sameer,
Each blank CD will cost you around 60 bucks (at least, HP is more), unless you use a noname product. Add to that the time taken to burn 6 CDs - several hours, and it would probably make sense to buy the 7.1 distro, which is 6 CDs.
I do not know what FreeOS charges, but if you found them expensive, why don't you talk to Seascope Infotech, who will sell you the 6 CD RH 7.1 set for under Rs. 600? I bought my set from them, rather than make one myself - and I have a CD Writer on my table at work.
If you're looking for the 2.4.5 kernel, mail me offlist and I'll tell you where to come and get it from me. I've also downloaded and burnt a CD for Samba 2.2.0 alpha, which is a pretty good product - I use it at work.
Rgds,
Krishnan
