Hi All,
I would recommend the meet on 8th June at this venue, if Mr. Shekhar is open to the idea of course. Since this place is centrally located, more ppl will be able to attend and more ideas to explore.
For the agenda we can have following things,
- Discussion about GLUG-Bom and PUKAR partnership.
- Discussion about the offer of Magnet-I and participation in the expo.
- Techi talk on Wi-Fi in GNU/Linux by Trevor?
What say guys?
Good Idea. I would also suggest that we charge a minimal fee -- ~20Rs. or something & provide snacks. The best part about the GLUG meets is the interaction with group members -- not the talks IMHO. It would be good if we have more informal time to chat & discuss than to sit formally and listen to someone yak. A debate, game or something interactive would be great as it would cut the ice.
If any volunteering is needed, I am available.
I also kinda like the HBCSE place ... '-)
Let us have this meeting on 8th at PUKAR's office which is just above the Computer Book Shop. Shekhar will send the phone numbers and address. Also to inform: Mr. Arun M, founder of FSF India, and who developed the Malayalam GNU/Linux with Gnome localized is coming to Mumbai on 8th, and I will bring him to the meeting. Most likely we may also have a few other guest on that day.
One of the main agendas is workshops. We will also discuss the Sameer's suggestion and try to shape it up along with other events. Also this meeting will give us a new dimension in the sense of establishing ties with PUKAR.
I just spoke to Shekhar, he will be arranging a PC as well as a projector, just in case we need to show case some products. Arun may also have something to show.
Should we finalize this. We will not have enough time to decide. We need also to update the website after this is fixed.
